How to Enable Meta Quest 2's Auto Updates
Because there are so many updates, keeping your Meta Quest, the operating system, and all programmes current can be quite a chore. You can turn on automatic updates in the Oculus app on your phone if you prefer to receive updates automatically and are tired of conducting manual upgrades. When you enable this option, the Meta Oculus Quest 2 headset will download and install updates as soon as they become available.
Here's how to switch on or off Oculus Quest's automatic updates:
- Open the Oculus app on your phone, and select Settings.
- Select the correct Oculus Quest that you want to update.
- Choose More Settings
- Then Advanced Settings.
- Then Tap Update Software Automatically.
That is all there is to it. Updates will run automatically if your headset is turned on while charging, on a flat surface, and, of course, connected to WIFI. Keep in mind that this will consume a significant amount of your bandwidth, which may come at a cost to some. Of course, most people have unlimited internet access, so this should not be a problem.
