Getting Started With Renting an HP Reverb G2 Headset

Before beginning and some more tips 

  • Prevent the lenses from exposure to the sun. The screen will be irreparably damaged by this. 
  • Never spray any solvents onto the lenses or headset; only use the supplied microfiber cloth to clean them. 
  • When renting the controllers should be paired to the headset. Only follow the instructions below if they don’t work. 
  • Make sure to adjust the IDP (interpupillary distance) with the slider underneath the headset. This will help adjust clarity and allows for the best gameplay.  

 

How to begin installing your HP Reverb G2 headsets 

  1. Make sure you have an active internet connection and turn on your Windows computer.
  2. Use the included connection to connect the HP Reverb G2 to the computer.
  3. Connect the power cord.
  4. Look for the square converter in the headset cable's centre.
  5. To power your headset, plug the power wire into this square converter. 

 

On your computer 

  1. The HP Reverb G2 should instantly launch the Mixed Reality Portal when connected. If not, you may manually open the program by pressing the Windows key and typing "Mixed Reality Portal."
  2. Follow the computer/instructions
  3. At this time, the headset could need some updates. If so, allow them to install. Do not turn off anything during this process. 
  4. Turn on your Mixed Reality motion controllers by pushing and holding the Windows button on each for two seconds while wearing the HP Reverb.
  5. Set up the VR environment. Choose the Standing experience or Room scale.
  6. If you wish to utilise speech in mixed reality, please confirm this here. 
  7. Your setup is finished once you're inside the house. From here you can launch apps and games and interact with your environment. Enjoy the journey. 

 

Getting your controllers connected. This step is only necessary if the controllers don't work after the first steps. 

You must reconnect your headset, whenever you use a new controller or they come disassociated. To connect a controller to your device's Bluetooth or PC follow the below steps. 

  1. Inspect the controllers' batteries.
  2. Press the Windows button on the controller while turning it on.
  3. Push the little button on the controller's end (near your wrist strap).
  4. The device is in pairing mode when the lights start to blink half-on, half-off.
  5. On your computer or laptop, click "Bluetooth" to connect a new controller.
  6. The controllers are linked when they vibrate, which indicates.
  7. Reinstall the battery cover. 

 

SteamVR 

  1. Launch Steam on your laptop or computer.
  2. Launch SteamVR and sign in with your credentials.
  3. The drivers must be updated for the HP Reverb-compatible software when you use it with SteamVR for the first time.
  4. The SteamVR home page will open by itself in the headset.
  5. Launch the application of your choosing, then enjoy!

  1. On your computer or laptop, tap the Windows button.
  2. Start typing "Headset display."
  3. At this point, you may access every setting. The resolution, refresh rate ….

If you would like to extend the lease, contact us before the last day and if we arent fully booked we can help you extend the hire.

On the due day, ensure everything is included and packed.

Attach teh return courier ticket on the outside, over the top of the old one

Close the case, make sure the clips are down securely and most importantly, use the cable tie to secure the case close

Contact Post Haste local office, either via the link supplied with the emailed ticket or call the local office. On the map choose the nearest location posthaste.co.nz/contact_us.html to find the number. It’s important to organise the courier pickup the day before or very early in the morning. If you've chosen to drop off the gear, please deliver everything as early as possible to the drop off location on the due day before they close which is about 3 pm.

Ensure Post Haste Scan the ticket on handover.
