Virtual Reality Experiences & Games - NZ Wide - Home & Events. Rent Meta Quests 2, 3, 3s - From $28.33 Per Day.

We build VR experiences that open from a link. No app store, no downloads, no accounts. Put the headset on, open the link, and you're standing in a space built around your brand. The same link works on a phone or laptop too, for anyone who'd rather not wear a headset.

And because we've been hiring VR gear around New Zealand since 2021, we can send the headsets as well, set up and tested with your experience already on them. One conversation instead of three.

What we build

  • Expo and event games. Short, competitive challenges with a live leaderboard, so people come back to beat their workmates. Great on an expo stand.
  • Branded showrooms. Your product in a space people can walk around, rather than scroll past.
  • Training and inductions. Practise the tricky bits before doing them for real.
  • Property and site walkthroughs. These sit alongside the 360 virtual tours we already shoot.
  • Show-and-tell pieces. For when the real thing is too big, too far away or too expensive to bring into the room.

It starts in your own lobby

Every build starts with what we call the startup room: a branded space with your logo, your colours and a cinema-sized screen playing your video. From there, people choose where to go next. A game, a product tour, a training scenario, or a 360° look around your site. Think of a really good expo stand, except they're standing inside it.

A recent one

A professional services firm wanted something for their stand at a national conference. Something that would stop people walking past, and say a bit about what they actually do. We built two challenges behind one branded lobby:

  • A "where in the world am I?" race through 360° scenes, with a ticking clock and time penalties for wrong guesses.
  • A photo from their line of work that starts out blurred and slowly sharpens. The earlier you name it, the more points you get.

We've also run clients' own custom software at events, including a Boeing-built experience at the Texel Australasia launch.

How it works

  1. Have a chat. Tell us who it's for, what you want people to walk away with, and any dates you're working to.
  2. Get a quote. We scope it and price it per project, so you know what you're getting before anything is built.
  3. Try it early. You get a link to preview on your phone, laptop or a headset, and we fine-tune it from there.
  4. On the day. We courier the headsets anywhere in New Zealand, already set up, or we set it up on your own headsets. Help on site is available by arrangement.

What affects the price

  • How many experiences sit behind the lobby
  • How much is built from scratch, and how much is put together from parts we already have
  • Whether 360° scenes need to be sourced and licensed
  • How much content you supply, like logos, video, photos and copy
  • Whether you need headsets, freight and staff training as well as the build

It's a lot more affordable than it was even a year or two ago. Browser-based VR and newer tools have taken a big chunk out of the cost.

Good to know

  • It won't look like a big-budget console game. If you need photoreal graphics, a browser isn't the right tool. On the Quest range, though, the results are surprisingly good.
  • It needs Wi-Fi or a phone hotspot to load.
  • If you're working to a fixed event date, get in touch early. Building, previewing, changes and testing all happen before the headsets ship.

Questions people ask

Do people need to download anything?

No. It opens from a link in the headset's web browser. No app, no account, nothing to install.

Can people without a headset see it?

Yes. The same link works on a phone or computer. That's handy for a QR code on your stand, or for emailing it to a client afterwards.

Do we need our own headsets?

No. We can send Meta Quest headsets already set up with your experience, along with covers, cleaning gear and freight both ways. If you already have headsets, we can set those up instead.

Where are you based?

The building happens remotely, so we can work with you wherever you are. Headsets go by courier anywhere in New Zealand.

How much does it cost?

Every project is quoted on its own, based on the things listed above. Tell us what you have in mind and we'll give you a straight answer, including when something simpler would do the job.

Let's talk

Got an idea, half an idea, or just a date and a budget? Send it through and we'll tell you what's possible. If it's not a good fit, we'll tell you that too.
