Which Virtual Reality (VR) headset should I hire in New Zealand?
If you're unsure, we recommend the Meta Quest 2 or Meta Quest 3S 👍 — our most popular option for birthdays, families, and events.
It’s a standalone, all-in-one VR headset (no PC required), with built-in sound and controllers. Just connect to WiFi and you're ready to go. We include simple instructions so setup is quick and easy.

How much does it cost to hire VR headsets in NZ?
We have a minimum 3-day hire period. Prices shown on our website are based on this unless changed.
How does the VR Birthday Party Pack work?
Our Birthday Packs are perfect for parties 🎉
Each pack includes multiple VR headsets (e.g. 3 per pack), so players can enjoy multiplayer games together.

Can multiple people play VR games together?
Yes 👍 If you hire more than one headset, you can play multiplayer VR games together. Some games are pre-installed across all headsets. If you want something specific, just ask before booking.

Each VR headset comes preloaded with 60+ games and experiences, so there’s plenty to choose from for all ages and skill levels.
Popular VR games on the Meta Quest include rhythm favourites like Beat Saber, action-packed shooters like Superhot VR and Pistol Whip, and social multiplayer experiences like Rec Room, VRChat, and Roblox (via VR-supported experiences). How long does delivery take for VR hire in New Zealand?
We courier NZ wide 🚚
- Auckland, Hamilton, Tauranga, Wellington: 1–2 working days
- Waikato: often next working day
- Rural areas: allow an extra day
We send early, so most customers receive their VR gear before their hire start date.
🚫 Couriers do not deliver on weekends — choose Friday for weekend hire.
Do I pay for courier time?
No. You only pay for your actual hire period. If it arrives early, that’s bonus time 👍
How much is the courier delivery?
Courier pricing is shown at checkout and usually includes return freight. A return courier ticket is included in the case. We do not profit from shipping.
How do I return the VR gear?
1. Pack everything as received
2. Turn off the headset
3. Attach return label
4. Book pickup or drop off

What locations do you cover?
We provide VR hire NZ wide, including Auckland, Waikato, Hamilton, Tauranga, Wellington and most regions across New Zealand.
What if the VR headset turns up late?
Very rare — we send early. If it does happen, we will extend your hire or provide a fair refund.
What happens if something breaks?
Normal use is absolutely fine 👍If something is damaged accidentally, just contact us — we’re fair and easy to deal with. Courier damage is not your responsibility.
When do I get my bond back?
Once everything is returned and checked, and working, your bond is refunded. This may take a few days, depending on your bank.
Is the equipment clean and in good condition?
Yes — all VR equipment is cleaned, sanitised, tested, and checked before every hire ✨
Excellent Condition Guarantee: Equipment is always in great working order, charged, updated, and protected in hard cases.
Can I extend my hire?
Yes, if available. Just contact us and we’ll sort it.
Do you offer long-term VR hire?
Yes — we offer discounted rates for longer hires 👍
What age is VR suitable for?
Generally recommended for ages 8 -12 and older, including adults. Depending on the child, we recommend supervision for younger users.
Is VR easy to use?
Yes, most people are up and running within minutes. No technical experience needed.
How much space do I need?
About 2m x 2m per player is ideal. Clear space = better experience.
